Position Tags

Position Tags allow publishers to enforce different placement rules for advertisements. Virtual Publisher provides several different placement rules and how they are enforced. Publishers can choose to error or warn on rule violation.

Placement Rules:

  • Competitive Distance
  • First of Category
  • Left Hand Only
  • Opposite of Editorial
  • Position Range
  • Right Hand Only
  • Tags on Opposite Page Match
  • Within a Percentage

To manage Position Tags, select Edit Plan Details > More > Position Tags. Once the position tag is created, it will be available for selection when reserving advertisements. After creation, Virtual Publisher will enforce the Position Tag for the advertisement based on the ruleset provided.
